In hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), the person is placed in a chamber and breathes in pure oxygen.

Fresh air is composed of various molecules, primarily nitrogen (78%) and oxygen (about 21%). Other substances include Argon (0.93%), carbon dioxide (0.04%), and trace amounts of neon, methane, helium, krypton, hydrogen, xenon, ozone, and iodine, among others. And that is “fresh” air! Carbon dioxide can build up in a closed room. It can increase to up to 5 times the amount in fresh air. It can rise to even higher amounts inside of a vehicle.

Not getting enough oxygen can lead to fatigue, drowsiness, difficulty concentrating, “brain fog”, headaches, chest pains, palpitations, abdominal pain, nausea, joint pain, numbness and tingling in hands and feet, and more

That’s where hyperbaric oxygen comes in. Oxygen is an essential nutrient for the body to function properly. By breathing in high concentrations of oxygen, you are basically giving your cells a feast. HBOT supports efficient wound healing, immune function to fight off infections, and helps balance inflammation. It also helps with recovery from stroke, brain damage, nerve damage, heart attack, hearing loss, and more.
